Downtown Atlanta Arts District Support Form
What We Do
We get to work.
Day in and day out, the DAADC Team is meeting with local Governments, working with local Developers, soliciting New Businesses, assisting local Small Businesses, or a combination of them all.
Management
The Downtown Atlanta Arts District Corporation (DAADC) provides district management for the Castleberry Hill Arts District, helping guide the neighborhood’s cultural identity, long-term planning, and day-to-day coordination among stakeholders.
District management means ensuring that the many organizations, businesses, artists, residents, and institutions connected to the neighborhood are working together in ways that support the district’s vision as Atlanta’s historic arts district.
DAADC works to coordinate efforts across the neighborhood by supporting the arts ecosystem, promoting cultural programming, and helping shape initiatives that strengthen the district’s public spaces, creative economy, and visitor experience.
This includes working closely with galleries, artists, and creative businesses; partnering with community organizations and downtown stakeholders; and collaborating with city agencies and partner organizations to align projects and initiatives that impact the district.
Through district management, DAADC helps ensure that Castleberry Hill continues to grow as a vibrant cultural destination while preserving the historic character and creative spirit that define the neighborhood.
Planning
The Downtown Atlanta Arts District Corporation (DAADC) leads planning and advocacy efforts that support the long-term success of the Castleberry Hill Arts District.
DAADC works on behalf of the district to strengthen arts infrastructure, improve public spaces, and support the creative ecosystem that defines Castleberry Hill. This includes coordinating with city agencies, partner organizations, developers, and community stakeholders to ensure that projects and initiatives align with the district’s vision.
The organization advocates for improvements that benefit the district’s artists, galleries, businesses, residents, and visitors. Key priorities include enhancing streetscapes and public spaces, supporting arts programming and cultural initiatives, improving mobility and access to the district, and preserving the historic character of Castleberry Hill.
DAADC works closely with partner organizations such as the Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA), the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID), Friends of Castleberry Hill, and major downtown stakeholders to coordinate planning efforts and ensure that the district continues to grow as a vibrant arts and cultural destination.
Through these efforts, DAADC helps guide the evolution of Castleberry Hill while protecting the creative identity and historic charm that make the neighborhood unique.
Marketing & Communications
The Downtown Atlanta Arts District Corporation (DAADC) leads marketing and communications efforts that promote the Castleberry Hill Arts District as one of Atlanta’s most vibrant destinations for arts, culture, and creative experiences.
Through coordinated storytelling, media outreach, and digital platforms, DAADC works to highlight the district’s galleries, artists, exhibitions, public art, restaurants, and creative spaces. These efforts help raise the visibility of the neighborhood while supporting the artists, businesses, and organizations that make up the district’s creative community.
CHADC also develops communications that connect the district with residents, visitors, partners, and the broader public. This includes promoting district initiatives, sharing news and updates, and supporting the promotion of major cultural events.
Marketing and communications efforts also support the district’s signature events, including CastleberryFest and the Castleberry Hill Loft Tour, helping bring new audiences to the neighborhood and strengthening Castleberry Hill’s identity as Atlanta’s historic arts district.
Operations
The Downtown Atlanta Arts District Corporation (DAADC) serves as the functional backbone of the DAADC, managing the day-to-day logistics and technical planning required to keep the district running.
While our marketing team tells the story of Castleberry Hill, Operations handles the physical and administrative reality of the neighborhood. This includes the direct, "on-the-ground" coordination necessary for a thriving urban environment—such as liaising with city construction crews during repaving projects to minimize business disruption or managing the equipment and vendors for our major festivals. As a planning and management organization, our operational focus is on maintaining a high-functioning environment for artists and residents.
We bridge the gap between long-term strategy and daily execution by overseeing district assets, managing service contracts, and coordinating with public and private partners to solve immediate infrastructure needs. By streamlining these logistical complexities, the Operations Department provides the foundational support that allows the district’s creative and commercial work to move forward without interruption.
